Blurred Lines

by Jake Thompson

sporadic vibrations.

sideways thinking.

Blurred Lines.

whooshing past

pixelated and fuzzy

like i see in the black.

The Ringing in my ears.

it doesn’t cease

what have i done?

Pupils.

dilated

pried open

bloodshot

begging for it to stop.

Goosebumps.

across my thinning forearms

splitting hairs

twirling

slowly

in the glare of the fluorescent lights

please, make it stop.

Veins.

protruding out

of my receding flesh

blotches of rose

covering the bleak color

of the end

i promise, i’ll never do it again!

My Hands Growing Cold.

pale and blue

in some parts

gray

a numbing pain

spreading through the tips of my fingers

demise

of my once gluttonous body

please! i’ll do anything! i don’t want to die!

My Muscles Going Stiff.

cheekbones clenching

cold, wet tears coursing down

The Joints Tightening.

locking

in my neck

i can’t move.

no, please, no!

My Lungs Drying Up.

lack of breath

gasps

silence.

The All Encompassing Void.

pure darkness.

death.
